Nine Mile Creek is one of Central New York’s most talented
and dynamic live rock bands. Taking a new “back-to-basics”
approach, with a keen eye for the details, the members of this
band have gone to great lengths to capture and emulate the
essence of their rock music heroes and influences, inviting
good times and authentic rock ‘n’ roll vibes. For nearly two
decades, these musicians have been playing in area bands for
audiences ranging from five to five-thousand! Coffee shops,
open mics, bars, festivals, these 3 4 rockers have played them
all, meeting, networking, and performing with many other
talented musicians along the way.
Nine Mile Creek uses the latest state-of-the-art PA equipment and professional instruments
to deliver the music of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and beyond with punch, precision, and clarity.
This is NOT your typical “classic-rock jukebox band,” but rather a unique, performance-
enhanced power trio . With vintage and modern interpretations of great songs in a unique 3-
piece jam-rock format, the show is adaptable to a variety of venues, with flexibility in the areas
of volume and space considerations. The setlist varies, drawing from a repertoire of hundreds
of numbers which the guys have picked up and performed over the years. Currently, the
working setlist contains around 80 songs, with 5-10 new songs rotated in every week or two.
Nine Mile Creek was born from a desire to to play the best rock music,
within an innovative exploratory framework- “Tight, but Loose.“ This
crew lives to perform, and will play for any establishment or event that
needs a great rock show that will have people dancing, singing along,
expanding their musical horizons, and having a great time with the
music!

Missing from much of the live local music scene these days is the
Freedom that comes from melodic exploration. Knowing the exact
structure of a great song, and then rising above and beyond it's
perfection to create something NEW and EXCITING renews the soul of
both the listener and performer. Every great composition dictates its own
unique live performance challenges and requirements. It is the mission
of this band to find new meaning and explore beyond the boundaries of
great ROCK music, while preserving it's accuracy and integrity.
Anyone can listen to the same great ROCK songs over and over again,  
played the same predictable way at the local pub. DISCIPLINE,
ACCURACY, and GOOD PRODUCTION are certainly key elements to a
successful LIVE performance, but if the band is just playing what's already
there in the CD jukebox, what's the point? If it is not interesting, then
people are going to leave earlier, and less drinks get sold!
Nine Mile Creek plays the song with integrity, and strives to make it even
BETTER every performance! We seek to breathe new life into the
seemingly-tired song, sweat the details, hit that extra note clearer, dance on
the edge of mental madness to get that ultimate sound, and push the
melodic limits while preserving the artist's original message and intent.
