DECEMBER 29, 2006: A Warmoth parts telecaster
custom guitar project is coming together slowly but surely for the
Freedom guitar stable. The custom-spec'd neck just came after a
4month wait, and it sure was worth waiting for! Look for this
guitar, the black 8ball, at future NMC performances!

BJ's Tavern
"mosquito point"
Route 38
Port Byron, NY

9:30pm-1:30am
The band went through a new setlist,
including an extended jam on the
reggae version of Neil Young's classic
acoustic "Comes A Time," that had the
whole place up and dancing.
Freedom's solo on "Let It Rain," went
so long that Quagmire's bassfingers
were tied up in knots at the end, but
that always happens on that song!
Greg had a violent and lengthy drum
solo at the end of "Sunshine" that was
probably inspired by a challenging
week that was matched only by his
grim determination to succeed.
guitars: Schecter and Ovation
Theremin and bow played, as well.
12-16-06: A 2007 Dean Doubleneck 6/12 (1of200 made) is joining
the stable of axes. Departing on trade: a seldom-used USA Hardtail Pro.

Jack's Reef Port of Call
1161 Old State Route 31
Memphis, NY 13112
(315) 689-9871

9:30pm-1:30am
One of our favorite bars, Jack's
always brings out the unexpected and
pleasant surprises! Some guest
appearances- a harp player, and
Vinnie "the finger" sat in and played
Freedom's new Dean Doubleneck on
Mary Jane's Last Dance and
Sympathy for the Devil, adding some
tasty 12-string leads and some killer
vocal harmonies on Stealin'. There
was a strange but funny moment in the middle of I'm Your Captain when some
drunk chick walked behind the drum kit, sat on Greg's lap, and tried to talk him
into going to another bar with her. One of the highlights of the show was an
impropmtu, by-request performance of the epic
Stairway to Heaven. The new
subwoofers worked great, and a light show is on the way in the near future!
Guitars: Dean D/N-HT;Conn(amber);acoustic   Theremin/bow WLL
The Dean 1-of-200 Hardtail Doubleneck was AMAZING! This guitar plays itself. Dean guitars rule.
January 19th, 2007: Despite this being the
slowest time of the year for bands, Nine Mile Creek
has booked several gigs for the next couple of
dreary winter months. A full-length album of
original rock music is in the works. Over half of the
material is already written, and we expect it to be
ready by the Spring. The new band banner will be
ready for the upcoming gig this Friday at BJ's Bar
and Grille (see it below). The new Nine Mile Creek
bumper stickers are a hit, and have temporarily
sold out, but more are on the way! T-shirts are in
the works and will be ready soon.
January 22, 2007: A guitar is leaving the stable. The
dillion doubleneck 1275 copy will be sold at Speno Music in
Auburn. Wonderful guitar, but since the Dean Hardtail
doubleneck came into the picture, this guitar has been
collecting the proverbial dust. Got it out and played it during
rehearsal, just to be sure, and the Dean is the keeper. As
pretty as the dillion is, it just isn't getting played enough to
justify keeping it. Hopefully, some other lucky guitar player
will enjoy this worthy gibson clone as much as Freedom has!
Friday, January 26th, 2007- BJ's Bar & Grille:
WE LOVE THIS BAR! Lots of snowmobiles and a nice warm place to
drink a beer and catch a
Nine Mile Creek ROCK show. The band was
really tight, and a lot of creative spontaneous things happening.
Interesting raggae jam at the end of
Mary Jane's Last Dance, with
snippets of
Black Dog and some song that Freedom was making up as
it went along. Greg brought out his old Private Eye drumkit.
Quagmire's new Ampeg 1000w (running at half power, thank God!)
made it's debut, and it sounds great! The new
 Nine Mile Creek
banner and bumper stickers made their first public appearances. The
"B-man" sat in for a guest appearance on WLL playing acoustic.
Greg's drum solo was insane as ever, and once again a 20minute Let
It Rain jam had  Quagmire's fingers in knots!
SEE THE PICS HERE!

Friday, March 30th, 2007 DEVANEY's Riverside Grill:
Once we got the kinks ironed out, this turned out to be a pretty good venue.
Wonderful smells of cooking fried fish, steaks, burgers, chicken filled the air,
as the band jammed rather creatively through Greg's drum solo at the end of
Sunshine. Freedom found a nice new Conn guitar on ebay, and it sounds
and plays great! Another date for DEVANEY's has been added already. We
will be getting to this place early from now on, so that we can enjoy the food
before we play! Nice version of Freebird had
Freedom's fingers in knots, and
Quagmire chuckling to himself, until he had to play Let It Rain later.
PICS!
***the BIG NEWS: Nine Mile Creek
has added a 4th member on rhythm
guitar, vocals, keys, samples, and
lead-cowbell: please come out and
welcome Brian
"the B-MAN"
Lobotomy to the fold at our next gig!
***
Friday, February 16th, 2007 Jack's Reef Port of Call:
Some really cool jamming on a frigid CNY Friday. The B-MAN joined the band
onstage for more than half of the songs. Pretty remarkable, considering he's
only been running with the Creek for a couple weeks! Brian's guitar work adds
an extra dimension and rounds out the sound quite nicely. Quite a few patrons
early on, despite the cold weather and horrible driving conditions.  Happy
birthday to Tex (thanks for the cake!) and thanks to our Rolling Hills patrons!
You, and our love of great music, are why we do this. Greg, where are your
drumsticks???
theremin, Dean HTdn, Conn3, bow.  Ludwig Kit                                                          PICS!
Friday, March 9th, 2007
McNamara's Pub
5600 Newport Road
Camillus, NY 13031
(315) 672-8872
9:30pm-1:30am
This place was just packed all night! Thank You
all for coming out to see us- there were TONS of
you, and we had a great time playing for you!
Our new 4th, the B-MAN, played the entire night.
It was fun to see the "Brothers Grimm" all in the
same bar together- Weej and Beej on stage,
Teej and Peej in the audience. We sold lots of
the new
Nine Mile Creek bumper stickers, and
everyone had a blast. PLEASE LET THE
OWNERS AND STAFF OF THIS COOL VENUE
KNOW THAT YOU WANT TO SEE Nine Mile
Creek THERE AGAIN SOON!
 Number is to the LEFT!
March 11, 2007: We deeply mourn the passing of the
highest, purest, cleanest and most-amazing voice in
Rock history. On March 9th, Brad Delp, a man who
inspired us all with his soaring vocals and perfect
music,  passed away. This man was the highest
example of what a real Rock Star should be. His band,
Boston, provided a huge portion of the soundtrack of
our adolescence, and beyond.
In 1996, Boston reunited and I was fortunate to catch
their flawless performance at the New York State
Fair, complete with huge spaceship stage sets,
perfect sound, and flawless harmonies. Brad Delp's
incredible voice hit every single high note perfectly
that night. What a set of pipes this guy had! His
singing made you feel good to be alive on a Friday
night. Some of my best memories are easily-recalled
with Boston's music. Thanks for the hope you
conveyed to all of us, Brad. Our heartbroken ears will
miss you forever.
MORE THAN A FEELING... Brad Delp's incredible voice
was the soundtrack of our youthful years.
Brad Delp: June 12, 1951 - March 9, 2007
Friday, March 16th, 2007 BJ's Bar & Grille
Despite thinner crowds, due to Saint Patty's Day following this night, this was a great
performance! This band is really starting to find itself musically. The guys were really in
the zone this night. The B-man is singing, the rhythm section is in the pocket, and
Freedom had a new haircut. The new lights will be ready for the next gig in 2 weeks, as
will several new songs, and another 2-3 ORIGINAL Sean Freedom compositions, being
performed under the Nine Mile Creek banner. The NINE MILE CREEK ALBUM IS COMING...
CANCELLED, due to seasonal changeover:
Friday, March 30th, 2007 GIG AT DEVANEY's Riverside Grill
sorry, the bar has to get ready for the Spring outdoor band schedule, which we will be a HUGE
part of! Your patience is appreciated, and we will see you there in the Spring, outside!

Devaneys-FreedomCreek!(acoustic performance)
Wrapping up the Summer season of the Friday Acoustic Series of Shows at
one of our favorite places to eat, play, and hang out, this was a really good jam
session! Greg on his stripped-down mini drumkit, Weej on bass, and
Freedom with his acoustic and on vocals. There were new improvised
versions of classic rock songs and some old favorites. Some new friends from
Pennsylvania sent us some nice pics (thanks, Elaine and Matt!). Bobby talked
Sean into playing the B.E.G. song, even! By midnight, the guys were breaking
down the gear for the next day's 2 bookings... Sean and Weej discovered a
fantastic new breakfast monster at Dennys called the Stacker afterwards.
Saturday, October 13, 2007: CLUB 34!
The band was JAMMING tonight!!!
Fri, December 21st, 2007:
Jack's Reef
Snowmobiler's paradise of Rock Classics on a Friday at
Jacks, complete with cheesesticks, chicken wings, and waffle
fries! Freedom's new Michael Kelly guitar screamed, and a
couple new tunes were in the mix. Quagmire needs to buy
some 9volt batteries for his bass! A rippin' version of
"Hurricane," and "Numb" was loud and proud. Bman's vocals
are coming along nicely- especially on 'Captain!
Sat, December 29th, 2007:
FreedomCreekacoustic:
Lots of dancing to acoustic ROCK. Great-sounding
room, with a nice atmosphere. Rippin' version of
Workin' Man, and several encores. The most
interesting "tip" that we've ever received- thanks for
the thought, but no one in this band is herbal! :)
Thanks for a great night, and we will see you every
couple months at the Cedar House!
Friday, October 12, 2007: Jack's Reef Port of Call!
Saturday, September 15, 2007: Two shows in one day!
4-8pm We played a Pig Roast outside under the big tent at Devaney's to
benefit children with autism.  Raffles, bbq, beer, and the usual festive
atmosphere prevailed and lots of money was raised, too! The rain even
stopped before the band went on!
Around 8pm, we quickly packed up the gear and headed to Club 34 in Scipio,
south of Auburn, for the second show of the day from 10pm-2am. This was a
great show! Freedom played a newly-aquired fender stratocaster at both
shows, and the band was in the pocket the whole night. Three shows in 24
hours, and Freedom still has a voice left.
